Chocolate and raspberries have always been one of my favorite combinations for dessert. The rich dark chocolate pairs so nicely with the sweet and tart fruit.
If you cannot eat eggs or choose to avoid them, finding a good homemade brownie can be tricky. Many versions end up dry or cakey instead of rich and fudgy.

That is why I love these eggless raspberry swirl brownies. They bake up dense, moist, and full of real chocolate flavor without needing a single egg.
I use plain yogurt in the batter to keep the texture soft, while the fruit swirl adds a bright pop in every bite.
They look fancy with the swirled pattern on top, but the steps are surprisingly simple to follow.
Why You’ll Love It
Ultra Fudgy Texture – Using whole milk yogurt creates a rich, dense center that never tastes dry or cakey.
Perfect Flavor Balance – Tart raspberry jam cuts right through the rich dark chocolate so every bite stays light.

Double Chocolate Goodness – Combining melted dark chocolate with cocoa powder creates an intense, bakery-quality chocolate flavor.
Fresh Fruit Pockets – Whole fresh berries baked on top burst with sweet, juicy goodness in every bite.
Ingredient List
For the Brownies
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 4 oz Dark Chocolate (60-70%), Chopped
- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Plain Whole Milk Yogurt
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
For the Raspberry Swirl
- 1/3 cup Seedless Raspberry Jam
- 1/2 cup Fresh Raspberries
Directions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides.
Step 2
Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a large microwave-safe bowl in 30 second bursts, stirring each time. Whisk in both sugars, cool for 5 minutes, then whisk in the yogurt and vanilla until glossy.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Fold into the chocolate mixture just until combined and spread evenly into the pan.
Step 4
Microwave the raspberry jam for 10 to 15 seconds to loosen it. Drop small spoonfuls over the batter and drag a toothpick through in loops to create swirls.
Step 5
Scatter the fresh raspberries over the top and press them gently halfway into the batter.
Step 6
Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Step 7
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan, about 2 hours, then chill for 30 minutes for the cleanest slices. Cut into 16 squares.

Tips
Bring the Yogurt to Room Temperature
You will get the best results if you take the yogurt out of the fridge about 30 minutes before baking.
Cold yogurt will quickly harden the warm melted chocolate and butter, causing the mixture to clump up instead of staying smooth.
In this eggless recipe, smooth yogurt is key to binding the batter and giving the brownies a rich, fudgy texture.
Whisk Well for a Shiny Top
Since this is an eggless recipe, getting that classic shiny brownie top comes from how you combine your wet ingredients.

From my experience, whisking the yogurt and sugars into the warm chocolate until the mixture turns glossy makes all the difference.
Spend a full minute whisking until everything looks silky before you fold in the dry ingredients.
Do Not Overmix the Jam Swirls
When you drag your toothpick through the warm jam, use gentle, spaced-out loops across the surface.
If you swirl too much, the jam will disappear into the chocolate batter instead of creating defined ribbons.
Leaving bold stripes on top ensures you get distinct, tangy fruit pockets in every single bite.

Questions You Might Have
Can I use Greek yogurt instead of plain whole milk yogurt?
Yes, but you will need to stir in a tablespoon of milk or water first to thin it out.
Greek yogurt is much thicker than regular yogurt, so adding that tiny bit of liquid keeps this eggless recipe from becoming too dense.
